Welcome to FREE FRIDAY!

What is it?

Each Friday all EDNA employees from top to bottom work for free.
Their pay is put into an EDNA pool.
Existing EDNA customers can contribute some of their earnings to the pool as well.

What happens to the money in the pool?

The pool provides collateral for those who want, but can’t afford sequencing.
It specifically targets the severely impoverished, but anyone can participate.

How are the weeks "winners" decided?

Everyone who signs up for a Free Friday is put on a list, and people are “weighted” based on three criteria:

  • Geo-likelihood of extreme poverty
  • How many consecutive Fridays the person has been on the list
  • Is the person sponsored by an NGO or other charitable organization

We then “draw” random (but weighted) winners and they are shipped a DNA Collection Kit

I'm not impoverished or sponsored
What chance do I have?

The purpose of the pool is to help the impoverished replace generational poverty with abundance, however we understand hard times and we want to help everyone who may need it.

Your “chance” of winning a Free Friday depends mostly on the length of the list on any given week. Working in your favor is the length of time you’ve been on the list, plus how many dollars were fed into the collateral pool that week. Competing against you is the targeted high-poverty and sponsored individuals.

Our suggestion to you is if things are tight right now, get your name in the hat for a Free Friday now, there is a randomness where anything can happen. If the situation changes, and you now want to pay upfront for sequencing or you simply get tired of waiting you can switch and we’ll keep your place in line (you’ll probably jump to the front if you’ve been waiting long).

As FREE Friday matures we’ll be better able to provide information about expected wait times.

I like this, I have zero risk - nothing to to loose
What's the catch?

You’re absolutely correct, you are risking nothing using Free Friday. EDNA employees, customers and investors are assuming all of the risk for you. But we are all quite certain that this will all work out in the end to everyone’s  benefit.

We’re all 100% on board with people owning and benefiting from their own data. It is the way the world should work, and none of us are OK with global poverty with all the suffering that accompanies it.

So the catch is, if you accept a winning ticket on a Free Friday, you also must agree to split your first $10 thousand you earn by monetizing your DNA 50/50 with the person who accepted the risk on your behalf. This is not a loan, and you owe no interest. If you never get a single offer to rent your DNA for research – you sill owe nothing. The person who took the risk looses their money, and it’s done.

So if you still want to call it a “catch” – well, there it is plain and simple.
If you still have questions, by all means, drop us an email.
